THE VIEWER? The Actual Purpose of Art, 2022 (see BOOKS)
The book emphasizes the way a person views art. Regardless of any trend in past decennia, the first impact of visual art happens in the viewing process. The argument claims a more emancipated role for the viewer. In the current everchanging world and intercultural discourse, Ilgen focuses on how and why it is, that in enjoying art, all people across cultures have more in common than that they are different. The topics are substantially researched and combine scientific knowledge with interpretations that follow from broad international and personal discourses with many art lovers and art professionals from museums, galleries and corporations.
