The exterior component of a monumental project for a new large shopping mall, consisting of a large sculpture suspended above the main entrance, which is visible form a large distance and from the cafe on the second floor, and a complex very three-dimensional composition spread out through the various levels of the large central atrium. While the sculpture in the entrance functions as a land-mark, the sculptures in the atrium as a three-dimensional calligraphy attract the visitor's attention to perceive the various floors of the mall, adding clearly to the excitement, searching upwards to the glass dome. This project has been thoroughly researched, calculated and tested as a result of all demands and technical norms necessary for such a public space, hence its has involved a close co-operation of engineers, architects, developer and artist. |
